this year!!

On Good Friday, April 10th, at 7.30 pm we will join Palos Verdes Baptist Church in worship. Come and worship with us and commemorate the
day Christ died for you!

Now, let me ask you a personal question: Have you been hurt? Have you been injured by another? Having a hard time forgiving? Does your
offender ignore the attack upon you? Is the pain unbearable? What can we do when we know forgiveness is needed and wanted? Starting
Easter Sunday (April 12), we are going to take an amazing journey to the cross and beyond! As we travel, we will discover the power and reality
of authentic Christian forgiveness.

It is my passionate hope that you will discover the understandings necessary to open your heart for cleansing, liberation and transformation that
true and appropriate forgiveness brings! Let’s take a look at the trip itinerary for April …

April 12 – A Costly Forgiveness
The cross stands at the very heart of the gospel. The Lord Jesus defined His life in terms of the cross. The central meaning of the life of Jesus is
not found in the living of his life but in the giving of it! We received a costly forgiveness. Look through Isaiah 52.13 – 53.12 to get a better
understanding.

April 19 – Wiping the Slate Clean
We cannot deny our sins; to redefine them as something else; to rationalize them; shifting blame to others; to repress them, drowning the
accusing voice of conscience in busyness, distractions, or even chemicals. Scripture takes forgiveness seriously. Our God is a forgiving God,
and we can live in the freedom of full, final and finished forgiveness. Check it out in Romans 3.23 before the message.

April 26 – Moving from Guilt to Gratitude
Forgiveness is not a commodity, something we receive in some kind of religious transaction in exchange for our merit or our penance. It is a free
gift of a gracious God that we receive through our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. One way to measure whether we have understood and
received forgiveness is to observe the depth of our response to the Savior. Great forgiveness inspires great love. Review Luke 7.36-50 before
this Sunday’s lesson to learn more.

This series could change your life … and the life of a friend! Please take the time this week to invite someone to Easter worship and the services
afterwards. God could easily bring your friends and family to lasting forgiveness … and they would thank you forever – literally!
